Why do some people ask loaded questions on the Internet?

A loaded question is a trick question, which presupposes at least one unverified assumption that the person being questioned is likely to disagree with. I guess these people are looking for validation for their own opinions out of insecurity?

Yes i would agree, its quite common and visible on here i think places like this are used intentionally (and not so) by groups looking to incite against something. Generally if you can totally refute the person with evidence they usually get angry at you which also gives you ideas into the type of person. Rather than get angry at those who lied to them they get angry at people who disturb the world view they have and double down, its a distressing thing to see but all too common online

It happens mostly on political questions. There is one guy that does almost every single time he posts.
