but generally speaking, yes... Texan and Mexican people are very helpful, at least in my particular region

It depends on if it's like in person or online like here.
Here I find not bad because you have no idea who the other person is etc, but in person you are seeing each other.
If it's deep then usually I use online, if it's easy I'll ask someone like if I'm trying to find somewhere
