Have you ever approached a stranger to ask him/her for a date?

It would never occur to me to approach a total stranger to ask for a date.

For me to even consider a date, this person must be 100% intellectually compatible with me. Physical appearance and attractiveness is only secondary.

It has happened that strangers have approached me out of the blue and asked to go for a coffee despite my "do not approach" signs which are my earphones.

If the dirty look and the "no" I give them does not suffice, then all I have to do is grab my mace and just hold it in my hand. That is the best deterrent to unwanted approaches. It is incredible how persuasive a little bottle can be and the effect on harassers that little can have.

Not unless you count high school? Approached a girl in the same glass, but aside from that we never had talked before. But otherwise, on the street, no.

Not really strangers, people I've seen around before at school, work, parties. And date is stretching it too, there's really not a lot of pressure it is just a pleasant conversation that occasionally leads to more and occasionally doesn't.

What's the point? Women get creeped out way beyond too easily if I did that. If I was her type on the other hand, I'm sure she'll come up to me first.
