Is it weird to ask a stranger out on a date?

So I'm busy doing my own stuff and I don't mind not having a girlfriend, but it would be nice. I've tried online dating but I hate it, I hate texting and nobody acually wants to meet up. That's probably because I hate texting and have no game in it whatsoever. So I was thinking of going to the city and just asking girls if they want to go on a date. Is this a good idea or would you find that creepy? And I'm not talking about going to a bar and than asking, just on the street or in a store or at the park. Obviously not when it's dark.

If you are a country boy or soccer Mom adult, who has never been out of suburbia, then running to the City for anything may not be a good time for you. I've spent good amount of time in/out 10-20 million cities. I know what I am doing.

Yes it’s weird and women would likely tell you to F off, you don’t just walk up to a women and say “hey wanna date me?” She’d walk off probably laughing as it stinks of desperation, or she’d think you was insane. Your best bet is to go to a bar or try to go to a club or find a group that interests you and strike up a conversation with someone.
