It's something I always take for granted but the mountains in Japan at a distance look are so velvety and fuzzy. They don't look rugged at all. They look so soft and silky even though they aren't so much if you venture into them up close tumbling down watery mountains and scratching yourself everybody. But at a distance, they look so deep in their greens and so soft like cotton.
I have been to many other countries in the world but I never noticed this quality this much with their mountains.

It's a big country, full of amazing sights.
Two of my favorites are the Pacific redwood forests and New England in the fall.
But look at the beaches, deserts, mountains, unique forests, rivers, plains, lakes, National parks, state parks, rural and agricultural areas. What to choose?

I have been to Nantucket. It is is a really beautiful place, The beaches are very nice and there are streams that you can kayak. There are jackrabbits which are not indigenous to the area. The ocean is warmer than the ocean on the mainland. You can get television reception from New York to Maine.
