I went today lol. It's been a while 😅😅
I had an extra hardcover copy of "The Power" by Naomi Alderman and was going to donate it to my local branch. They told me that library versions have firmer spines due to repeated borrowing, but they'd be happy to take the book at the main branch and then resell it at a book sale to raise funds. I thanked them and then mentally said to myself "Fuck that." I wanted to donate THAT book for a reason - it should be read. My library system had branches that had the book, but my local branch did not and that's why I wanted to make the donation.
I live in a rural part of America with mostly poorer rednecks, so the library system here has some references and some computers, but much of it is fiction, so, to me, that's mostly irrelevant. I enjoy STEM nonfiction and the library in my own home is probably only second to the local community college library - and mine may be better.

In the fall. Some guy jumped down from the top floor to the atrium and kind of ruined the experience for me.
I have no idea why our city would build a super fancy central library near the largest homeless shelter in the city. I'm a 6'1" sturdy former bouncer and even I find that part of town too sketchy to walk around in. There's always some crazy bastard running around screaming and tripping balls outside on the way there.
It's a real shame too because I could use a quiet place to work and study.
I have been in a while, but at least once a month, my husband takes the kids there after school.
A few months. I have my own library in my room though

A few years ago to get a new library card. Someone I knew at work told me about an app called Libby. You put in your library card number and local library, then you can borrow digital versions of books for 21 days without having to go to the actual library. They also have audio books. It's pretty cool.
I usually go at least once a month. There are usually a lot of people there. It gets pretty heavy use.
For the last few months I've been going once or twice a week because I was using the meeting room.
Everyday. I love reading and recently started watching a youtuber who not only reads but makes it whole aesthetic and like main character vibe and now I am on a roll.
It’s been over three years for sure; maybe more like four. It kind of surprises me that libraries survived the pandemic, actually.
I don't even know if we have them here or not.
It was last summer. I had been taking some books out of the library. I should start doing it again.

and I drove by... by it About 4 years ago, and I got a totally convoluted explanation about how to allegedly borrow kindle books remotely in 239 easy steps. I just buy the damn things now - easier.
Not since 2019. That too to complete assignment on my laptop 😊. What did you read over there?
I don't remember tbh haha, actually I prefer ebooks to real books
Oof, must be... more than 10 years at least, I wonder if the one I used to go to even still exists.
