This year more than 230,000 packages were stolen from porch pirate's; even a brand new boxed up refrigerator. Do you think it will be worse in 2023?

I know some people have their packages sent to their work to ensure they will receive it - which is a great idea.
Because we buy so many things from the internet, chances are any of us could end up just like the 230,000. I know for sure if my package is left at my front door, it won't take long for thieves to find it. Is this the way we can expect to shop in the future or something better way to detour thieves?
Since most big department stores we used to shop at have gone out of business.
What are your thoughts about shopping in America?

Criminals roam around all day and just help themselves to any packages that they see. Years ago UPS required a live signature to leave a package. When that changed it became a free for all. I guess Amazon and other retailers must be making plenty of money because they do not seem very concerned about it.

@exitseven I saw on the news 🦊that Amazon is laying off 10,000 workers. I found that strange since it is during the holidays when business usually picks up. What's your take ex?

I think they are anticipating the worsening of the recession that is going to happen next year It will be catastrophic if holiday sales numbers are low because that will signal a bigger recession than the one we already have

There are no consequences for criminals here. I cheer every time I see a report of a dirt bag take a justified dirt nap after being shot by an armed citizen. If the police won't put the fear of God into these pieces of human trash then its up to the rest of us to defend ourselves at whatever lever level of persuasion the attacker requires. Fifty cents worth of lead powder and brass can save the taxpayers millions in jailing, legal costs, and repeat offenses when these cowardly or marxist operative DA's send these walking shit stains back out to the streets in a few hours.

There has to be a better way for deliveries then simply throwing the package at the front door. As for will it be worse next yea? Most likely it won't get better.
