How do you make friends on this site?

I've noticed that some users are very friendly or familiar with other members.

I don't know what's their secret, as hardly ever anyone ever comments anything or replies to my comments and if they do, they're usually not in the mood for a conversation (it's just a short reply like "exactly" or "I agree"). Maybe I'm way too serious or boring 🤷

Don't post anon is always a good start. Tell stories. They don't have to be long or drawn out (in fact that's a negative). Be genuine. Share some of yourself. Be willing to make a statement, respectfully, that might be different than what others want to hear. Be thoughtful. Be sympathetic. Be empathetic. Be real. Be funny. You'll find that people will respond to that.

Since this is more of a question/answer site, I doubt it's the best place for friends, so maybe try some place like Discord or Instagram, that's kinda made for socializing, I guess? lmao

some people are just more gregarious than others or come off that way.
Believe it or not there are still people in this world that care about others and like to interact with other people.
Maybe it is what they have in common, or have the time to be able to carry on a conversation, who knows?
if they are on their phones a long conversation can be somewhat arduous.

Don't post anon. Like and respond to their opinions. Make it a habit to answer their questions. It kind of just happens.

Yeah the problem is people rarely get back to me, when I comment on their opinion

One of the first friends I made on here started just by me responding to a picture she posted of her gecko. We talked almost every day after in DMS. I wasn't trying to make friends, as I said... It just happens.

Another user and I had been liking each other opinions for a while, but never had a conversation. I had mentioned her in an opinion on one of those "who are your favorite members" posts and we started talking after that. Same thing. I wasn't trying to make friends and it just happened.

I have even befriended someone by respectfully disagreeing with them.
