Why do some people act so self centered and mean?

Like they think the world revolves around them when it doesn’t, they have such anger, like what the fuck? Just chill already. I guess this hits me because I’m an empathetic person and the total opposite which is kind and generous toward people.

My answer isn't meant to sound flippant but it's because they are self-centered and mean. Not everyone is like you, kind and generous. A lot of people are fully of anger and bitterness and bile and grumpy and all sorts of other blah. I think there is a group of people who are actually clueless. They act mean because they don't know any better. Not an excuse, it just is who they are.

But, yeah, to your question? Because they are. :( And, you're right, wtf?

Not making excuses but…there are so many broken people out there, by ridiculing others they hope to lessen their own pain. In the end they feel even more disgusting but lie to themselves and go on feeling worse and worse.

Usually comes from social conditioning if they've always been taught they get there own way they expect others to follow through with it in day to day life in the real world. And it dosent work like that! You'd be amazed of the number of people in good professions and positions in life externally with the level of knowledge they upheld and life experience they have obtained.
