Molds for pouring slip in to form objects in clay. When dry, the objects are removed, trimmed, and smoothed to be fired in a kiln to harden them into bisque ceramics which then can be decorated and again fired to make the decorations permanent.

I poured many an object and then finished them. I also helped elderly in a care facility create objects to keep or gift. My wife preferred to "throw" objects on a pottery wheel. More hands on.

I do 3 I do molds the wheel and table building I don't really have a preference for which one I prefer but if I had to pick one probably the wheel

I don't think I have ever seen table building. I am guessing that is cutting clay in pieces that you can build up in different shapes.

It probably has a different name than what I'm calling it but it's pretty much just sculpting my school just called it table building because you could make whatever you wanted you just were sitting or standing at a table instead of using a mold or wheel
