These are the "official" lyrics to the original Star Trek series intro song, which were never sung. Alexander Courage wrote the music, and these lyrics were penned by Gene Roddenberry, creator of the series. By doing so, Roddenberry reduced the music's royalties due to Courage by one-half, with half going directly to Roddenberry.
