Would you go in public toilets if you knew the opposite sex was doing work in there?

When I ask this question I mean pacifically people like cleaners, plumber etc. I'm in no way trying to bring up the whole trans toilet stuff into this before anyone tries making it a political thing.

I ask this because I don't know if I over reacted today at work. I went into the toilets at work and there was female cleaner in there but also a man fixing the radiators. I'm currently on my period and I didn't feel comfortable with him being in there whilst I was so as soon as I saw him walked right back out. He said "sorry love" as soon as he saw me going back for the door and the cleaner laughed.

I held my wee in in my lunch break until I couldn't take it no more and finished my work break early so I could use the toilets inside the warehouse. I may also add just for context but my work performance is timed at work so it's actually really hard to go to the toilet during work hours without my work performance dropping which I know is so wrong on so many levels but that's just how it is unfortunately. I usually wait to go on my lunch or hold it in till my shift is over because the toilets are sometimes really disgusting too. I know it's not healthy but what else can I do

Yeah I've pissed in a bathroom before when a lady janitor was in their. As a busboy who cleans bathrooms I do like working alone in their but if a women was okay with me cleaning as she did her business I wouldn't mind I have other things to worry about

I have. Usually it's THEM that don't want me in there. But they can watch me, I don't give a fuck. One time my dad told some Filipina cleaning lady, "There's nothing to see."

I'm honestly less comfortable with other males in the bathroom. I could care less if a girl sees/watches me. I'd be pleased actually

I am totally ok with coed bathrooms for both sexes to pee and wash their hands. In college, we had a large coed restroom on the hall and there were always males and females using them at the same time.

I don’t really see an issue as you’d go into a stall and no one can see you in there so if I was a girl I’d just go in and close the door do my thing and leave. We all pee and poo after all and it’s not like they can see your ass or out.

I've been in gender neutral toilets nvm just having someone just working in there. I find people bothered by it to be snowflakes.

Your work performance is Timed? I’d find another job. That sounds incredibly unfair. What if you had diarrhea and it took you a while especially to clean up?

I don’t see anything you did funny so why did the cleaner feel the need to laugh at nothing funny? Is being uncomfortable supposed to be funny? Whenever I do go nobody is in there already cleaning

by law there has to be alternative restrooms on the premises for situations like that and if there are none then anyone of the opposite sex has to leave until you step out or it is a sexual harassment lawsuit against the employer
