My brother has a thing for indigenous women, are his likes common?

My older brother (age 23) is 5'11, wavy light brown hair, white and honey eyes. Yet a couple times he has said that he would like to one day marry a pure indigenous woman.

His own words were that they were exotic and of unique beauty. He has a thing for their reddish brown skin color, always did. He isn't too much into mixed women because according to him, they lost those features and don't seem natural anymore. He isn't too much into white women either even though he's white himself.

Are his likes common?

It all started when he was a kid. One of his classmates was a Native American girl. He saw it as something rare and so he had a crush on her for that whole school year.

Indigenous where? Your profile says the US, so I assume you are talking about Indigenous Americans.

I don't think this is common because probably not many people know enough about indigenous Americans to develop a thing for them. I used to live near the largest native tribe in the US (Navajo, as well as Hopi and some Apache). There were a lot at my first college. Some of the women are gorgeous. But most are meh.

Most likely your brother's tastes will change and expand as he gets older. There are too few women like he is looking for to give him a decent chance of finding someone.

Most people marry their own race, also he don't like mixed women but he want to have mixed children himself, it don't makes much sense, your brother have an race fetish, that's all.

He actually is looking forward to having mixed babies. He just wants a pure Native American/Indigenous woman. Basically what he wants is a woman that would be similar to Pocahontas in both skin color and features.

Native American, Filipina, some SE Asia, and Latin America start rolling into one group for him. It is not common but certainly not new. I know guys like described above.

In Latin America it depends on the area. My brother said some people are actually mixed there aka mestizos and not actually pure indigenous. The type of woman my brother wants would be similar to a Pocahontas (from the movie) type in features and skin color.
