If someone you were in love with died, and you had sexual footage of them, would you delete it?

I asked a question inspired by this thought last night it’s been removed maybe due to just asking it rather than showing how the question came to be 🤷‍♀️. The question arose due to me never being able to throw away things from my dead loved ones, and wondering in this digital age how that would translate.

and then thinking how I couldn’t delete but I’d also feel super weird watching 🤔🤷‍♀️

I don't have any sexual footage of girlfriends. There was none of this digital shit when I was dating.

I wish I had more photos of one particular girlfriend, though. I loved her with all my heart and still do.
20 years after we separated, we reconnected on Facebook and even spoke on the phone. She was living out of state. By then, I had been happily married for 16 years.
Five years after we reconnected, I read that she had died from a sudden medical problem at age 55. I was devastated.
I still go to her old Facebook page on occasion to honor her, as if visiting her grave. She was an extraordinary woman and I will never forget her.

If someone I was in love with died, and I had sexual footage of them, I probably wouldn't delete it because it would be like deleting her from my life. But I wouldn't watch it because it would be too hurtful. It would also feel creepy, like necrophilia. I would feel like I was degrading her.

But I would like to have non sexual photos or videos of her, just so that I could keep the memory of her when she was alive. She was an important part of my life, like family and so many others.

I would simply cause I know I'll have other non sexual related things of them that will remind me of them and keeping the nudes just rubs me off wrong for some reason, seems wrong in my opinion and like someone down there mentioned, what about when he moves on, how can he explain that lol

This is one of those decisions I would never make until I am in that situation. Honestly though when I think about it, I bet a good amount of porn out there is from dead people these days.

Your question is about a loved one and while I am not sure what I would do, I know if I was the one to pass, I would not care if he kept it. I don't expect him to get rid of everything about me once I am gone. This falls into the keeping stuff, but at the same time I also doubt he would be watching it all the time, he would move on and it would probably be lost somewhere in digital format.

Even if I wanted to delete his sexual footage, I'd probably never get around to it, cause I am a major procrastinator. I'll get to this tomorrow, or next week when I have time... years later. I run across it and be all like OH yeah.

I honestly hadn't considered it. Usually, I delete all nudes and home videos when I stop seeing someone, but death is something else entirely. I know I won't want to look at it, but deleting it completely feels like deleting a part of them. It could be something I'll do at the end of my grieving process as part of accepting and letting go.

I wouldn't, rather I'd encrypt it and back-up to physical drives so it's harder to access. My wife and I have never talked about post death porn, I mean, I'd be dead, whether she's getting off to me post-mortem wouldn't be my concern, or hers for that matter. If you're jerking it to porn online from the 2000s, chances are they're dead too. Anyway, I only think it'd be really jacked up in two situations, that you watch porn of your spouse more than any other content of them left, or to get with someone else and still regularly watch porn of them. Even if they were a porn star or something.

I've never had to deal with that. I'd have to think about it. Keeping it would bring back happy memories, so I might just keep it. Then again, that could cause some sadness, so I might delete it. Not being sure, I'd probably keep it but in a place where I wouldn't normally see it.

As long as I had other videos and not just the sex video I would delete the sex video. My wife passed away a decade ago, we did not have a sex tape, I did however, have lots of regular videos.

I can't stress this enough, take some occasional video of your wife or husband to remember them by, bc you never know.. they could be here one day and not the next.

Hey there @wittymilf great question 🤔 If I had a sex video 📹 of a partner who passed away and I, I probably wouldn't delete it because it brings back the fun and naughty memories you had together privately. I don't feel there's anything wrong with this but that's just my opinion.

I wouldn't keep it in the first place. Id never record it. I might keep other images, but nothing of a sexual nature, regardless of weather or not they died. I work in cyber security, i refuse to be the guy that causes an innocent person's nudes to get hacked.
