Would you be hurt if your boyfriend deleted all the photos of you off his phone?

My boyfriend and I have had a hard time lately. We have had a lot of arguments and issues but we have worked stuff out and are still together. The other day I noticed that he had deled all the pictures of me off his phone. When i asked him about it, he said that he deleted those photos because he thought we were going to break up and that he didn't want to keep photos from the difficult times. He wants to start fresh. However he hasn't asked me to give him a new picture (s). Am i right to feel hurt by this?

You have every right to question him why he deleted them
cause he should of really talked things over with you and
ask you what was going on between you two before he
deleted any photos of you and you do have every right
to feel hurt over it.

Should I just erase all of his ( there are a lot because he was always sending them to me and I'd keep them all)? At one time I even had his picture as my background for months, but I eventually changed it because he never reciprocated.

Yes you have every right to erase his, what he did
was jump the gun about you two and erase your pics
that is no way a guy should treat a girl just assume
something i wouldn't do that to a girl i like talk things

I understand that it's hurtful but it was simply his defense mechanism to keep him from hurting if he ever lost you. It's just pictures, not worth breaking up... he just acted in a moment of weakness.

Well should I just delete his then? I don't like the idea of me having all these pictures of him, and he not having any of me.

That's up to you to decided, but if you think pictures are the real problem then you need to reevaluate some things. Your relationships is struggling from whatever is causing all your arguments not a couple of pictures.

I know that the pictures aren't the whole problem. But would you keep them in this situation?

If you delete them, you're just deflecting and adding on to the problem because you don't want to delete you're just trying to find a way to hurt him.

I'm not tying to hurt him by doing this. I just feel like its pathetic for me to hold on to all his photos when he clearly didn't want to hold on to mine. I guess I know how I feel about it, and I don't like the inequality of it, and so I'm going to delete his too. But thank you for your opinion

I'd feel hurt too, but he could have deleted them in a moment of anger or doubt. He could feel embarrassed about deleting and doesn't know how to ask you for a few more. Maybe send some anyway. It couldn't hurt.

Maybe it's wrong of me but I'm too proud to send him some without him asking. He's away right now visiting his family and family for a few days. It would be the perfect time for him to ask me to send some pictures because he misses me.

Does he know how hurt you are that he did this or did you try to play it off? It's never a wise or fair position to put yourself in when you clearly want someone to ask for or do something without bringing it up or making it known. The person could feel the same way just not know your view, or they could be a jerk and not care. Either way you're putting yourself through torture and stress doing the back in forth about it with yourself.

He didn't treat it like it was a big deal, so I didn't either. But then it started bothering me the more I thought about it. I guess since he said he wanted to start fresh I should just delete his too. I mean he's the one who wanted a fresh start, so I guess I should too.

Fresh starts are nearly impossible. It isn't exactly fair for him to ask that. It's like wanting your cake and eating it too. Like he wants a clean slate with none of your previous problems in the relationship, but still you. It's almost a manipulative attempt to get you not to bring up any issues you still could be having, like covering them with a bandaid. Just because it's what he wants doesn't mean you have to go along with it. If previous issues are still bothering you, you must address them or they will only continue to grow.

I'm talking strictly about deleting the pictures when I talk about the fresh start. We have already talked about all the other issues and decided that we still wanted to stay together despite them.

I threw away all old photos its a good way to get over bad emotions and over some one if your hurt.

But it's not like we broke up and he deleted them and then we got back together. We stayed together. LIVING together.

he was hurt... maybe your over thinking it. He just secondly how did you notice he deleted them? He gave you an explanation he thought you two were going to break up.

We have access to each others phones, That's how I found out. But I'm not overthinking it anymore, I just deleted all his yesterday.

No I don't but he shouldn't do that before knowing if you are going to break up with him or not first. It might not be a big deal but it really hurt your feelings and believe me you won't forget this for a long time. The point is if he really care for you and he was honest in that, stay with him but if he said it as an excuse well...
