This was a joke because on the Fantasy Suite episode of The Bachelor, the main guy, Zach, used the word "like" far too often. I remember a few times he had a relatively short sentence that he managed to put "like" in 3 times, none of which were needed.

Like, it like sounds like you're like already like on like the like road like to like recovery! There were a few times in the question that you COULD'VE used it but didn't!!
I would think that noticing that you do it as much as you do is the first step to not using it! I have friend up in Erie that has the same problem but, with him, the word he uses most often is, "fuck", or some derivation of it.
"Fuckin' I fuckin' went to the fuckin' bar and fuckin' bought a fuckin' drink and fuckin' turned to the fuckin' guy fuckin' sittin' fuckin' next to me and fuckin', fuckin', fuckin' fuckin' asked him what fuckin' time it fuckin'' was." (When he loses his train of thought, he just keeps repeating "fuckin'" until he remembers what he was gonna say next.)
I have no aversion to the word, at all but, to say it that often is just too much! I'm not against the word, I'm against it being such a habit.
Maybe you can try this: make a recording of yourself just talking about anything at all and then listen back to it to see how many times you said like and, once you notice it, it might help you cut down. Maybe ask a couple people you're around a lot to make the recording for you when you're not aware of it.
I was watch The Bachelor and I think it could have been a good 30 minutes shorter if we removed the number of times he said the word like.
I'm sure a lot of shows could be shortened dramatically if they cut out all the unneeded words.
avoid usinh it. for me i use "like" because i wanna be honest and accurate with my description but if yoy hqve no purpose maybe avoid it because i understand it can sound annoyinh
Knowing is half the battle lol
