As a filler word, how often would you say you use the word "like"? Or any filler words in general?

As a filler word, how often would you say you use the word "like"? Or any filler words in general?

Very often. But only because I know that I can get away with it. If I had a more important role that required a more fluent type of communication, I'd get rid of it easily. All it takes it consciously thinking of what you're going to say before you open your mouth to say it.
Like I don't know what you're asking... like, elaborate maybe? I just had late night snacks and it's like it's really late here.. like really really late.
Okay, I'm just being silly. I only use like when I want to express I appreciate something "I like this".. not to fill in when I'm trying to phrase a sentence
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
like never
I use the word 'like' but never misuse it. I hate filler words, but the one I hate most is 'so' at the beginning of a sentence!
Admittedly, I must be better about that.
I'm not even sure how that came about. Suddenly overnight everyone started using it. .

As infrequently as possible. Some words I refuse to use at all as they annoy me. Others I prob say too much... But liken them to candy.
Rarely. That was a pet peeve of my parents so they drilled it out of me.
Smart people, they are! It's one of mine as well.
Rarely. It's a turn-off to hear people say "like" every 5th word.
"Hmmm..." is my go-to filler. I've used it mostly while flirting on okcupid or tinder.
People moan about them but they seem to dislike silence even more. I don't use "like" because it doesn't fit into a sentence well but I do "umm" and "hmmm" more than I should. Various forms of "you know" get used a lot too
I hate the superfluous like. Hate hate hate it. I stopped watching some YouTube channels because the speaker (s) would use it every three words. 😡
I tend to think of what im going to say before i say it. But the rare times im unprepared, i say like and um a lot
I don't think I use it much at all. Although I haven't been paying attention. I guess it will pay more attention now. I however, have been known to start counting the number of likes in the speech of others because it really annoys me.
I use "You know?" Way too much.. LOL.. I use like sometimes but not that much.. Mostly when I'm giving examples of something..
since i'm not a native English speaker, i have not gotten into that terrible habit yet. i only use it for it's purpose. comparison.
In this app everyday 🤣
But in my life not a lot like two thims in month
For some reason the filler word that I use the most is "yeah".
well... lol
Like, never.
What does filler words means?
Unnecessary words that do not add any information. Without filler words, your sentences are more accurate and formal and you seem more confident.
For example:
"Just"
• I just like doing my own homework.
• I like doing my own homework.
Other examples include: basically, actually, literally, yeah, I mean, you know, well, so and like etc.
I don't use it as a filler word.
I never do, i dislike it as a filler word
More often than i should honestly.
In every other conversation lol
I used to use it *like* all the time
some
Hardly ever
