did you know biologically there is virtually no difference between a wolf and a dog. Also did you know no canids bark, even dogs don't bark. Barking is only a communication that dogs learnt to communicate with humans. If dogs are kept isolated from humans they stop barking. Did you know that a dog can smell your emotions, your sex, your health, etc. etc. Another amazing thing is dogs can see heat, ( like if a spoon is hot) , and the can see heat ( infra-red) from up to 100 feet. So the dod can see you have a fever today from 100 feet away. Lastly canids have the most genetic diversification of any animal and yet they still can mate successfully with all of them, eg. dog and wolf or jackal and fox. I could just go on about dogs.
