Steal a Texan's pickup truck? A man down there loves his pickup truck as much as his horse. And they used to hang horse thieves. LOL

It's not a great idea to allow people to be judge, jury and executioner. But at the same time, I don't feel sorry for the fuck who stole the truck. He probably steals people's stuff all the time. Now he won't anymore.

The problem is, cops don't even try to find guys like that. When I was a claims adjuster, I heard stories from people all the time who reported their car stolen to the police. The cops would take a report, but they flat out told the victims that they don't bother to find the thieves because car theft is a misdemeanor and, if they catch the thief, he'll be out the next day. Catching car thieves is a waste of police resources.

@Lliam I don't even think he murdered the guy. I think he probably showed up and confronted the criminal, and the criminal tried to be slick and pull a gun on him, so he got popped.

It’s cool he got his truck back and it was a smart plan to track it by making a home made car tracking device using those air tags, however if the shooting wasn’t in self defense it’s wrong. I get the guy was probably pissed but we don’t give thieves the death penalty for stealing. That’s not justice in this case if he killed them not in self defense. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth is the highest standard. Thieves make restitution and are punished, not executed.


Will withhold judgment until more facts come out as to why this guy is suspected of shooting them, and if he did do it, why?

If the story is true then yea, guy got what was coming to him.

I don't think it's right the guy died. But I do think that if someone steals your car which can be the difference between survival for many people, I think it should be allowed.

the criminal when caught should have been punished, maybe even death penalty, but killing the guy yourself is not the right choice

Vehicle theft should be a death penalty crime, regardless of age.
If car thieves were hung in the town square and left to rot, watch how quickly car theft would become a rare crime.
If gutless criminal loving governments refuse to deal effectively with criminals, it falls to vigilant citizens to carry out vermin control.
