When someone tells you to 'grow up' do you comply with their wishes and grow up?

Yeah i do try to go 'grow up' after they tell me that. its so nice to have people inform you of things like that. i wouldn't have known to grow up without them telling me that

I had a quarrel with my mom in my early teens.

At one point in our argument, she uttered "Grow up, Dee!"

I didn't intend to comply with her but, eventually, I grew up just as expected since I was literally growing up anyway.

Nah. I already grew up too fast and missed a lot of my childhood. Trauma is good like that. But when people tell me to grow up I just joke about it and say “have you seen me? I stopped growing when I was 14!”
