The earth's axis changes its tilt all the time, almost always very minor fluctuations in it. There is no definitive proof that links this specific measured change to pumping water.

One could also argue that the tilt changes are due to population increases and decreases in different parts of the world. After all, people have weight and mass, and that change change the way the Earth rotates.

@exitseven I saw a senior thesis paper once by a guy at MIT who calculated what would happen if every Chinese person climbed on a chair and jumped to the ground at the same time. I don't recall the details, but large-scale earthquakes and tsunamis would result.

Nope. The world is becoming more automated meaning less of a need for a workforce. There's soon to be 8 billion people on the planet, that's going to be 7 billion people that can not support themselves through work. John Kerry earns his money researching climate change and advising us and other countries on what we are doing wrong and how to fix things. Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for his contributions to protecting the world's future climate, thereby reducing the threat to the security of mankind. The prizes are supposed to go to people who have made advances in the sciences, economics , literature and peace. Obama got his prize only ten days after he was elected. It was a total joke. Even in the 8 years he was in office he did squat for world peace. He went on his signature apology tour and asked forgiveness for the racism and war crimes perpetrated by the United States.
