No, because the helicopter remains within the atmosphere of Earth. It’s difficult to discern the mass of the gases that make up our atmosphere, but it is a factor. So inertia will keep the helicopter in the same relative position to the Earth’s surface.

So you slept through physics huh? "Earth" is a ball of rock, water, and gas (the atmosphere). It's all rotating at roughly the same speed in the same direction. Detach from the ground and you're still suspended in the gas inside the gravity well rotating more or less with everything else. Until you supply enough force locally to overcome the rotational force and move relative to everything else.

The Earth always rotates. But what you probably mean is, if it could stand still and travel by waiting for the right rotation, right?
If that's the case, then no. Conservation of momentum and the fact that we are not in a vacuum but in the atmosphere, which rotates with the Earth, prevent that.

No, the pull of gravity is higher than any driving force a helicopter or plane can develop. In the case of a helicopter, it won't stay still relative to the earth's surface, like hovering in a void space.

It might be different and probably is when you're talking about a space shuttle or a satellite hovering in outer space, away from the pull of gravity.

Yes. The earth was proven to rotate by a guy firing a cannon straight upward and then sitting on it. The ball did not hit him, proving in the time it took for the cannonball to reach its terminal height and descend, the earth moved far enough to make him safe. It would depend upon how long you hovered to see a noticeable change though.
