Makes sense, equine animals have gallons of blood and it takes a long time for them to bleed out. You also want to avoid injuries to the butchers. Looking at the equipment that looks more like something going down at construction company though.
The first time I helped slaughter a pig was at an auto body shop, and it was so backwards it was funny, but not haha funny. Like 4 guys holding a pig down on the tail of a mazda truck and cutting for minutes before realizing the knife was dull. I can't remember how many times I had to stab it in the neck before the blood finally started spraying. What a cluster fuck.
Seems like they got it down better.
