Being at work all alone when 10+ orders come in all at the same time, the phone starts to ring on top of all the online orders, an entire indian family of 15 has also walked in at this moment and needs me to explain the entire menu while asking me about things that are not on the menu.


The food that was in the conveyer belt oven has fallen on the floor and needs to be remade as the indian husband is demanding to know why this company does not offer pork-free sausage.


The other customer’s are starting to call the store to scream and curse at me for their food taking too long.


I remember that I’m running an entire restaurant alone for $15 an hour.

Right now the extra workload I am going to start. There is a boat up bar/restaurant on the lake that I work at during the days starting after the holiday. I bartend or serve food. I do it because the money is real good in summer and don't have anything else until my night shifts at my normal bar. The only thing is I get a bit overwhelmed by all the hours and not really having free time for a month or so. Plus it feels like I practically live at bars. I go from one to the next. It gets old quick. It does push me to get cracking on my masters degree. A little extra motivation to get it done and start a career. There is two other things that overwhelmed me today lolz but I won't mention them 😆

An ongoing problem with my left shoulder (rotator cuff) which has been ongoing for months now, in spite of Physical Therapy, anti inflammatory meds, shoulder strengthening at home and at Yoga class. The pain from the shoulder at times keeps me from sleeping, which as everyone knows, is debilitating also.

It may not be 'overwhelming' but certainly daunting, at the least.

Currently it's downed tree branches. Spent the evening of 4th and all day today cutting up branches and still not done A massive one fell on my and my neighbors driveway and one fell in my front yard. It's too hot for this shit.
