Guitar and vocals.

I started around 12 year old playing simply guitar riffs, strumming, and singing things by the Beatles, Monkeys, and things like that.

By the time I was in high school, I had a larger repertoire of late '60s hippie music. I carried my acoustic guitar everywhere. I was also becoming a decent electric lead guitarist.

I started doing lead guitar and vocals in three man garage bands and we got popular playing at parties. I got really good at playing rock leads, improvising leads and putting on a show. Hendrix, Black Sabbath and lots of other stuff. One of my featured songs was Highway Star by Deep Purple.

I kept that up through my early 30s. But people started getting busy, getting married, having kids, and I had a good, full-time job, so the bands drifted apart.
At some point, my guitars wound up in a closet for 20 years.

After my wife and I moved to where we live now, I picked them up again in my early 50s. The muscle memory in my fingers for playing shredding leads was gone, but the more I played, the better I got.

Some friends started having karaoke parties at their house a few times a year, and I discovered that I had a knack for singing lots of genres that I wasn't interested in when I was younger. I learned how to use my voice and craft songs.

So I started focusing more on vocals. I still accompanied myself a lot, but I also used other accompanists and bigger bands at times and did a wide range of music. I created a lot of my own arrangements.

Once a year, for about 15 years, I was invited to play a set of Irish songs at a large annual ceilidh. I would cobble together a band composed of accordion, mandolin, bass, another acoustic guitarist, harmony vocals, and myself on acoustic guitar and lead vocals. It was fun hamming it up, playing pub songs and Irish rebel songs that people could dance to and sing along with. That ended in 2020 with the covid shut downs.

I formed a new rock band that lasted for over 10 years until the covid shut downs in 2020.

I haven't played music since. But music is one thing I'm remembered for.

Difficult to answer. I think I am the person people go to when they need someone; someone to listen, someone to support, someone to think with them. I have—perhaps mistakenly over the years of late—thought that people appreciated my "razor sharp analytic abilities"; but I have since come to understand that it is probably more my compassion, and patience, and curiosity in them, that is what I give that others appreciate most.

I'm also known as detailed, "fussy", having high standards, "fancy". I won't argue those, though I might a bit with the exact word choices. But the root [or surface] sentiments: yes. People tend to try to bring it, being around me. It will be... stimulating, mentally. And playful. And serious. Too intense at times. Other times, invigorating in that intensity, that focus. And when they are in my realm, the places will be beautiful, elegantly-appointed, serene, yet also intermittently invigorating. I design my spaces as I design my life. With consciousness, selectivity, meticulous attention to detail, so that we can relax fully, and play on a foundation of calm.

I am known for sending people youtube videos of some art (film, music, iconic TV, etc.) that loosely relates to the topic being discussed with a friend. Or, I just like it, ha.
Sometimes it is appreciated, enjoyed. Sometimes they [probably] think something like, "There she goes again, derailing the conversation..." Yep. I don't mean to drive people crazy. I'm sharing things I love.

It's a reference to the old board game "Clue". It was a game where you had to guess who the murderer was, and in which room, and what object they used to kill someone; which was all decided by a random shuffling of the deck of cards at the beginning of the game.

Which was later parodied in "Sleepless in Seattle".
"Miss Scarlett, in the broom closet, with the radio!"

It also became a slapstick movie. I loved it.

Yes, and when they get curled up and kind of messy, you could keep yourself busy while on a less-than-exciting phone call, by untangling and smoothing them out. (Great for OCDers, too.)

I was desperate for a piano-shaped phone when I was a kid or teenager. I have no idea why. I never played piano.
