Not really. My work life sucks. My writing so far is going nowhere. And my love life could be much better. We rarely get to see each other which is a bummer. I know I shouldn't complain about that because at least I do have someone but ld is not the same as seeing them everyday or every other day. It's really hard work making it work.

  Oh i miss it every day, but nine tours, one IED, a bullet, a few mosquitos closer than i'd like, two direct attempts, an intentional car wreck, two bounties, three arrest warrants, and enough incoming to fill a small stadium... there comes a time when you just gotta go home and be normal

  Nah... i got my rescue kittens now. I need to stay home for them. I have my memories (at least for now) of the excitement before. You find excitement in other things. Watching the baby raccoons wrestle by the window while eating lunch with a rescue kitten for example. Seeing her eyes widen with excitement because she's not seen one before.
