I used to prank call people a lot. When I was in college I knew a guy that used to brag about how many parking tickets he got from the campus cops. He never paid any of them. I knew where he worked so the week before we were to graduate I called him at work and pretended to be a campus cop. I told him he had a pile of unpaid parking tickets and would not be allowed to graduate until he paid them. He hot all upset until I started laughing. I never saw him after we graduated over 20 years ago. Until two weeks ago when this bald guy comes over to me at the gym and asks me what my name was. It was that guy only he did not look like Tom Cruise anymore

@Sparkie460 I know but it was really funny how freaked out this kid got. It was right before graduation and he owed hundreds of dollars in fines.

Yes. I've gotten so many scam calls. If I have time I'll go along with it just to waste their time. Sometimes when it comes up on my phone that it's a scam call, I answer by saying " it's done, what should I do with the body ". They usually hang up pretty quickly.

Yes. I actually enjoy messing with scammers when they call. My favorite is the IRS calls. I'll give them a made up name, they'll spend a minute "looking it up" and then say, "Here it is. You owe $2000 ($3000, $5000, whatever) and if you do not pay it immediately the police will come to arrest you within the next hour. They then want it sent Western Union or with gift cards. This is the point where I want to start laughing at the ridiculousness of it all, but I try not to because every minute I keep them on the phone is a minute that some confused elderly person on a fixed income does not have to suffer and perhaps get swindled.

I've received a couple of prank calls, many years ago. I never made any prank calls.

I receive scam calls at least a few times a day in recent years, as do we all.

Yes, I ask identification questions, like a tax ID or driver's license number and they hang up. Once I worked on trying to persuade a Nigerian scammer into depositing money into my account to show good faith.
