I got a weird one for y'all today, I was scrolling through Insta and got some hippie girls in my feed but ran into this one and I thought it was perfect to get opinions on, yes that's her meow meow blood and for some reason she put it on her face, is there something I'm unaware of here or are y'all weirded out by this cause this shit is nasty, this girl took hippie shit to a whole new level

It's NOT period blood, absolutely the wrong color. That's nothing more than food coloring mixed with moisturizer. Periods are very red blood cell heavy - it's why it can smell like iron - and thus period blood is much darker.

But it is an excellent gag photo to drag traffic to her instagram.

wow here we go with the go to im in healthcare,

it is not safe nor recommended. menstrual blood is not pure- it contains bacteria, sweat and other things not good for your face of all things. it is not sterile and getting bacteria from that blood in your open pores even pimples will make one hell of a problem on your face, should it cause infection.

The real question is, why would she post this? Like fine she may believe for some reason that it helps her skin or it feels liberating or whatever, but she obviously knows it’s going to stir the pot. Like we why would any of us wanna see her blood on her face? Do it in your own time. I hate attention seeking people that enjoy the shock factor.

This is a bit of a movement to make period and its nature less taboo. Because lets be honest, its a weird portion of life that is overly locked away and "not to be spoken about" in nature. which makes idiots out of the majority who then never learn about it in a good way.
-But I don't get how spreading blood in basically any sense/place of origin makes a point. It just makes people cringe.
