Do you start your car and then put your seat belt on or the opposite?

Seatbelt first, followed by adjusting the seat distance from the wheel bc I always use someone elses car. Then start the engine and drive. I can't stand people who drive off without their seatbelt on and sending the car alarm into an impatient fit of DING DING DING! - for several minutes sometimes... ugh.
