Autumn is my favourite season. Fall is an older word and I would be okay with bringing it back. Autumn was imposed on us by our Norman conquerors who were responsible for introducing many inferior words into our formerly pristine language. Pristine comes from Latin, which is where most of our prisitne words came from.
