How much is FU money?
Are you quoting the gambler coach? (Video below) I LOVE this scene
1.2 million if you ask me is the start of being wealthy. I would consider that the beginning Of FU money
The 1% starts at 11 million.
36% of people have less than 10k
27% have 10k to 50k
15% have 50 to 100k
9% have 100k to 200k
4% have 200k to 350k
4% have 350k to 500k
And 5% have 500k+
I can give you my source for this if you dispute these numbers I'm not saying they're set in stone. This just gives you the point of why so few will ever reach FU money
If you know what you're doing you can turn a few 100k into a million in a very short time. So you could make the argument that a few 100k puts you knocking on the door of FU money. But you still got to get it done. So my vote is 1.2mill. Because 1.2 mill earning a 6% compounding interest is 72k a yrear without touching the principal. I think that'd put most reasonable people in a financially secure position
But this is the point coach we all have different views on what living is.
I wasn't but that is a very good scene lol
Enough so that you never have to work again if you do not want to do so. That might vary wildly from person to person and where you want to live and how many more years you have left. At my age and here, probably $10M or more.

It's more about lifestyle than dollar figure. If you can maintain your lifestyle indefinitely on your passive income (investments and the like) you can say that you have FU money.
For example, if my daily income from investment is enough for my consumption, is this considered rich?
@AnnaSorokin Depending on your lifestyle, most likely. If you're homeless and living out of your car, it probably doesn't count. But if you have a home, car and can make it on your investments then yes you are wealthy by most people's standards.
That’s right. I have a car, a house, other jobs, and profits from investments, but I don’t think I’m rich, haha.
Cash flow is more important than net worth. How do you calculate the cash equivalent value of a pension, growth of an annuity, or various trust and other instruments that provide monthly/annual income?
If you just want a big pile of money to slowly whittle away, a few million minimum.
It’s mentality. I’ve got no monies but I’ll FU my way all the way to the top of I play my role correctly.
It depends on a lotta factors
In a big, expensive city probably upwards of £10m
In a rural, cheap area like £250k could set you up well
once u start getting double digit millions and above
It used to be a million dollars but now I say 5 million
