Is it just me or do people these days seem to Bitch and Moan about every little thing?

It used to be conservatives who bitched about how the youth was going to Hell in a hand basket. They hounded certain comedians like Lenny Bruce, complained about movies with drugs, sex or controversial themes, rallied against integration, women's rights, and anti-war activists. They still do to an extent.

But then liberals started embracing political correctness. Oh my God! They are more conservative than conservatives. They protest against free speech, encourage cancel culture, spew judgement and hate. They killed comedy. They have no sense of humor. They live to feel outrage.

There is no way that some of the best comedy films of the late 60s and 70s - Woody Allen, Cheech and Chong, Mel Brooks - could be made today. "It's racist, sexist, homophobic, ethnocentric, violent, !!!"

It does seem to be getting worse. Now we have both sides clashing. Support or hatred for Democrats, Republicans, Trump, Biden, vaxers, so-called "anti-vaxers", and on and on and on.

On top of that, men and women are increasingly butt hurt and blaming the entire opposite gender for all their problems.

I'm butt hurt over people who bitch and moan. (that's a joke) It's like saying "I hate people who hate". 😏 🙃

I think the media highlights the complainers. Wait, no, let me correct that: I know the media highlights the complainers. I was once approached by a reporter who asked if I had an opinion on something and I told them my opinion, which was pretty bland. They were on to the next pedestrian before I even finished the sentence. It was only when they found someone with something negative to say that they finally turned on the camera and asked again.

But they had to have asked 30 people in the short time I was walking by before they finally found someone willing to complain. I don't think this is a precisely accurate microcosm but I suspect it is near enough to make the point.

People love drama. And conflict. It’s like a car crash. People know they shouldn’t look but they can’t help it. People love train wrecks.

So people put all the attention on those who B—CH and Moan, and Cry, because it’s entertaining.

I mean, what’s easier. Bitching and Crying and pointing fingers?

Or actually looking in the mirror and taking the steps to fix your issue, alone?

I find it hilarious. People complaining about everything they don't understand (usually) and when they go do their "research" which is of course (googling it) , they find the first dummest answer (mostly other dumb people's opinion) and they stick to it and keeps complaining. I love it, i enjoy it on daily basis and it is fantastic

I given up on a couple of friends because they did just that. I was always coming away feeling negative every time we met up, so I opted out of the friendship.

It's worked wonders. Most of the people I associate with know don't cry me river every time we get together. They're just genuinely happy to see me.

Here's my theory people have lost their sense of balance on the importance of things. They class big and small together. They feel that any infraction against them depletes their "life account" which can only be replenished through revenge or acting and gaining against some random person.

It comes from the overall decline in religious faith.

Maybe it is because between Covid and having Biden for a president our standard of living has really taken a nosedive and the uncertainty of the future is causing anxiety. I read the obituaries and I have noticed more suicides recently. It just plain sucks.
