love connection's main premise was to arrange dates for couples. A guest appeared on the show after going on a date with one of three contestants, having chosen on the basis of the contestants' videotaped profiles. After the date, the televised appearance was scheduled.

the show matched up several contestants who were routinely switched with other contestants. while contestants were nude most of the time, the show does not show contestants' genitals.

next dealt with a contestant going on sequential blind dates with possibly up to five other single people, known as "the daters", who were secluded on a RV, referred to as the "Next Bus". the added twist was that the date could end at any time by the contestant shouting "next"
