I climb often - indoor and short height called bouldering. I want to do outdoor but haven't gone yet since indoor is just easier for now and I don't need anything other than the shoes.
It definitely feels very scary sometimes, but it's also really rewarding, challenging, and fun for me. I find I have to balance high anxiety days if I notice I'm feeling terrible, mentally.
But overall, it's great fun, wonderful exercise, and the community is amazing.
It does take a while to get good, though. So not the sport for folks who need immediate gratification. Arguably no sport is for those kinds of people, though, lol.
Took kids multiple times. They were smaller, seem si light, easy and fast fur them. My son reached the top easily seems…I never went on, I had four surgery. Then Covid happened. Maybe I’ll ask if they want to climb again.

no chance in hell, i installed solar. for umpteen years so heights dont get me off firstly and the very idea seems silly as jogging. wtf is the point?
I did one of those rock climbing walls before but never really went rock climbing. I am afraid of heights.

I free climb, usually only 10-15 feet on a trusted rock shelf that has clear and strong handholds since it is dangerous. Especially if I’m trying to get a pic of birds or a mountain lion in the trees (again dangerous lol)
Hell no, I hate heights and have almost died too many times to start doing more stupid shit at my age
Only on fake rock walls. I would be up for rock climbing for real, but I would need to wipe myself into better shape first.
I've done the artificial ones and some really basic free climbing.
