  They didn't make him do that. It was his passion and he just wanted to escape from his job as a spy.
  But as always, they found him and gave him his next impossible mission. I think what's especially cool about the scene, is that he never used rope for safety. I realize that's not realistic, but it makes for a great movie scene.

When I was a kid, a toy flew over a wall in Ft Tryon Park. I volunteered to retrieve it. I had to go all the way around the wall, but when I found the toy, I decided to climb the stone wall instead of hiking back. Was that rock climbing or what?

  He's gone with friends, and there is a lot of equipment involved. Bouldering is another type of rock climbing that doesn't involve quite so much equipment, but still very challenging. Time to go make your handkerchief parachute :-)

Not proper rock climbing with ropes and stuff but I do scramble up and down sea cliffs on fishing trips or to go for a swim.
