Yes most of the shy people i knew were usually respectful too

No there were just as many respectful shy people i knew as there were disrespectful shy people

Actually most of the shy people i knew were usually disrespectful, so this wasn't true for me at all

I know there's no correlation.. what im asking is if you often see people you would describe as shy also tended to be respectful too. are these a common pairing in your experience?

I don't think the two go hand in hand. I know that I am basically a shy person, and I am respectful to all, however I know of some shy people who can be rude as well. So, not really. You can be shy and disrespectful too. You just won't show it as much, at least not to a person's face.

Well shy and respectfull have no direct correlation in my opinion. BUT shy people are less often rude therefore they are perceived as more respectful I think.

Generally yes. I mean, what sort of behaviour would you say is disrespectful? Interrupting you, loudly disagreeing with you, ignoring you, maybe? I think shy people are unlikely to do any of those things.

I believe shyness can give people the wrong idea that the person is stuck up, which it is not true. We are just shy people.

Sure, you can be shy and respectful. Just because someone is shy and doesn't want to socialize/be around people doesn't mean they're not respectful of others.

I'd rather be my real self than act like the perfect girly girl and stuff like that. When I post my opinions I want the honest and most blunt opinion I can type.

Sometimes people need the truth or the reality. Too many people sugarcoat crap and it doesn't help the asker in most cases.

I think being shy and respectful can be two different things. Shyness is typical of a person that is introverted and respectful is a person that has good manners and follows social rules of what is acceptable and not always do they coincide.

I'd say yes I've never met a disrespectful shy person. Typically people that are shy just keep to themselves.
