Why is this product called a “ski mask?” ?

I have never seen a person skiing wearing this. It should be called a “violent felony mask.”

The invention of these was for cold weather. Specifically that up on mountains. I have used one before though I use a slightly different version now. It is a breathable mesh to cover my head and then a neckwarmee for my chin, neck mouth if needed. Many things sadly are used for purposed they were not intended for. The nazi swastika for example is the mirror image of a far older swastika that stood for peace, love, hope.

I guess it was originally intended for really cold weather purposes but since it covers your whole face no one really uses it for anything but robbery and terrorizing

I thought about buying these since it gets so cold where I live. Probably not in fashion anymore since they are more useful for crimes

I wear masks like that for winter sports. Or I’ll wear a balaclava with a similar eyes only but no mouth opening.

i wonder how many get sold in places without snow. Still I suppose rapists need to keep warm, it's pretty hard to get a stiffy if your head is chilly.
