Global warming is very real; the physics is very basic. Furthermore, that the introduction of vast amounts of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases (*) into the atmosphere due to human activities since the dawn of the Industrial Revolution is the major reason for this.

(*) A greenhouse gas is any gas which has a molecule of at least 3 atoms.
Most of the atmosphere is made up of diatomic (2-atom) molecules:
diatomic Nitrogen (N), N2, 2 atoms
diatomic Oxygen (O), O2, 2 atoms
monatomic Argon (Ar), 1 atom
But almost everything else are greenhouse gases such as water vapor (H2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2), both with 3 atoms and so are triatomic.
The problem with these larger molecules is that they have more bonds between the atoms and each bond can store energy.
They can absorb and later re-emit energy. If these extra molecules didn't exist, the energy from the sun would then safely radiate into space. But, instead, now, more and more of it remains on Earth. Meanwhile, temperature is really the statistical measure of the average kinetic energy of molecules so, since there's more energy, the temperature rises and this increase in temperature also means more energy in the environment for all sorts of things to happen: to happen when they didn't happen before or that they happen more strongly.

Because for instance, we all believe that being mean is not a good thing to do. But something as simple as a shift in power dynamics can change peoples perception on how bad they even are. So they may agree that being mean is bad, while at the same time not realizing just how bad they are. So no change would come about.

That's not my point. My point is war would exist anyway. A lot of dictators actually start by been simple recruits in a war, Putin was a Solider, Hitler was a Solider, you go further back Kings would literally go into war. Genghis had no problem fighting. If you look at any leaders that start war they often do the dirty work before they establish an actual army to do it for them and even then some happily go into battle.
And to stop such people you also need the other side. So there is no such thing as this theoretical war will end if you put them on front lines.
