If you find someone interesting sure follow them. You will get notifications when they ask questions and their opinions will show at the top of the list on questions so you can see what they wrote. The only thing I caution is make sure you have some positive interaction with them first because once you follow... no matter your DM settings they will be able to DM you. You just wanna make sure they are friendly people first. At least that is my policy. But yeah for sure follow people you think are fun and interesting.

Be extremely careful who you follow. It is not as innocent as it seems to be on GaG. At least 40% of those pink accounts that are supposed to be held by women are actually held by men that only want to get into your DM and then suggest to exchange pornographic content such as nudes.

If you are really interested in following people, ensure that they have at least an Xpert level 6 or higher. Those newbies and with low Xpert levels tend to leave this site after a few weeks or so because they don't obtain what they hunted for on GaG.

Just be choosy with whom you want to follow because there are lots of trolls and spammers. Good luck.

Beware in particular of those people (mostly males) that post anonymously and that will ask you to either follow them or if they can DM you. You have a 90% chance to get a person with devious intentions.

If you want to be on the safer side, then consider those that are moderators, that is that have the letter M, S or U next to their handle or those that are influencers. Those are much more reliable and safe.

Ms. Sueshe's right; proceed with caution, and to reiterate what she said about these anonymous posters... if you can give yourself any name you want, why would you then find it necessary to designate yourself as 'anonymous'? Strange... but, yes, just use common sense and you'll be fine ❤️

Depends on your preference. I prefer to not to see notifications of things I'm not interested in so I'll usually only follow people if I like the questions they ask. But I am also following people I've had positive interactions with in the past. So I value that most apparently.
