How come Martin Lawrence stopped being funny?

He stopped stand-up. Whenever we see him in interviews and such he seems tense and hesitant. When acting in a role he's fine I guess, but he's very awkward in front of the camera when he's being himself.

I talked about that the other day after watching bad boys for life. He was comedic in the first movie... yes. But when came down to seriousness, he went all the way in. He was bad in the first two parts of bad boys, but they take it way down with his character in bbfl.

Is it just that he's older or what?

Maybe he found God like Chris Tucker. But also, Martin is still funny. He just limits what he says because its a new day and age and if he's accused of sexual harassment or something again like in the past, he know he won't get off so easily this time

Yeah. We all reach an age where we stop clowning. He's probably just done with the feeling like he's always got to be "ON" for the cameras.
