How clingy we talking? I think I’m kind of a free spirit and a wanderer, just in general, so I’m kind of just going wherever the wind blows me and my desires lead me. I can deal with a partner-in-crime for that, but I guess that’s where the style of clingy-ness would come into play. Does she want to do what I’m doing too? Or is she going to be pulling me away to do something else, that maybe I’m less enthused about doing? If it’s the latter, then clingy would bother me and I’d prefer to follow my whims alone.

And I think you just generally need to have some time apart so you don’t tire of each other, and you don’t both stop being your own person, the one you were before you got together. Also, do you want to hang out with the boys and SHE’S there? Or think about what it’s like if your boy has his lady with him. You kind of have to button up a little, not say things you might say when you’re just with other guys. I’d imagine it’s the same for women, they don’t want one friend to bring her man along on Girl’s Night.

I won’t go too long on you, hahaha, but I don’t know, clingy for me…I guess I like it WHEN we’re together sometimes, when we go out as a couple. But in general life, I don’t think she wants to stand next to me while I go bass fishing for eight hours in the wilderness, and I don’t want to sit on the couch with her while she reads or watches The Real Houswives Of Wherever The Fuck, lmao. If you have differing interests, which you almost certainly will, I think it’s good to allow each other to still pursue those things unfettered. Long way to say no, I know😂

What’s funny, is after we broke up, he sent me a text saying how much he misses my clinginess.😂 My current boyfriend doesn’t care either way, he’s a pretty laid back guy.
