We’re getting a huge polar vortex where I am and I’m excited. I’m not thrilled with exactly how cold the temps are getting but it’s finally going to feel like winter lol. According to my little weather app the projected coldest day will be Friday at -35°c and feeling like -40°c which means I’m going to have a hell of a time getting my dog to come inside

Probably not, but I think the city will be doubling down for the homeless population so they can get somewhere warm to stay. I think train terminals will remain open and things like that just so they’re warm.

I prefer it not to get winter-y. It’s cold and luckily the snow only happened two days ago but it disappeared before I woke up in the afternoon, quickly melting away. I don’t want to deal with frozen pipes or black ice. Right now it’s in the 40 F to the 20F this week.

The trick was wearing tennis shoes when I walk everywhere to take pressure off the achilles tendon. And discontinuing the activity that caused it to begin with. Then wait in boredom and bitch on GaG about it.

Half of the districts are the same as Istanbul for some reason. Samsun is pretty much a village apart from Atakum and İlkadım, Merkez (city centre)
