well thats also do to dehydration and infection. Normally stomach acid and saliva salt levels are enough to kill bad microbes and desolve food particles so they don't stick to your teeth or stomach/intestines. but being dried out or taking antibiotics or drinking alcohol or eating moldy cheeses or catching a nasty infection can all ruin that.

@TheSpaceGnome In Britain I think people just don't brush their teeth well enough. I can usually see the plaque or bits of crap between people's teeth. Brushing in a circular motion is the key. As is flossing, which is not something that was emphasised growing up, at least for me.

If you don't have the problems I mentioned, you can never brush, never floss, and still never get cavities, bad breath, stuck food bits, or yellow teeth. Your saliva just prevents all that automatically.

Needing to brush at all is a sign of a problem, waking up with bad breath is also a sign of a problem. it means your mouth biome is fucked up or you don't have enough minerals or water in your saliva.

Eating grains also causes those problems, as phytic acid prevents the asborption of phosphorus, which prevents calcium and sodium chloride absorption, stopping the normally continous remineralization.

Also flouride ruins teeth remineralization by cementing them, and outside of japan, I don't know of another country where hydroxyappettite toothpaste is the norm (its becoming more widespread in use in the US, but most people still use flouride toothpaste).

Hydroxyappettite is the material flouride is substituting, its what teeth are actually made out of.

Eek, I feel personally attacked here (nah, forreal it's your opinion and I 110% am not bothered by it, everyone is entitled to their preferences): my beard is more function than form.

When I first got facial hair, I shaved with a safety razor, and in the next handful of years I kept a clean-shave, but every few weeks I was graced with the rosiest bouquet of razorburn to ever adorn an otherwise unremarkable face. Despite the added confidence and sex appeal the razorburn gave me, it was remarkably irritating. Eventually this motivation led me to the conclusion I wasn't as hyperfocused as I should be when shaving – if I shave with the focus, discipline, and determination of an elite athlete, as well as replace razor blades after every shave – I would never get razor burn again. No, that didn't work.

What made me get rid of my clean-shave? My pops grew out his beard long enough for it to be trimmed with the close guards of a hair clipper and he stopped getting razor burn for the first time in his life. It's been nearly a decade since buying my first hair clipper and I haven't had irritated skin since.

All that said, if my beard gives anyone the ick, they are more than entitled to their opinion, but not wanting claw my face like it has chickenpox supersedes my self-consciousness or desire to please others. Besides, I'm sure there are plenty of other reasons someone would swipe left on me besides facial hair.

1- i'm trying to learn guitar

2-they grow up too fast and they are too hard, it hurts so much trying to cut them

3- they are easier to carry around instead of a knife and i don't always know when will i have to draw blood from someone.
