No legal repercussions? I'm gonna kill my friend's boyfriend because he's a piece of shit, she deserves better, and she'll never break up with him on her own.

No social repercussions? I'm making a move on that 32 year old guy I've got a crush on who's technically taken, but he's poly so theoretically I have a chance. I don't say shit to him about my feelings because I think he'd see me as too young and feel uncomfortable dating me. But if this one day with no consequences means he won't treat me any differently for it? I'd have nothing to lose, so I'd shoot my shot.

Hell yeah! He nearly up and left her when he thought she might've gotten pregnant from him. She hadn't, so he didn't leave, but damn I wish he had. He also demanded she cut off all of her male friends because of his fragile little ego, but he not only has female friends still, he actually flirts with women in DMs on social media, but he'd throw a total fucking fit if my friend did the same thing. I hate that man, because he makes her so miserable and she still keeps giving him chance after chance because she loves him for some reason. She's the sweetest, most forgiving and understanding person I've ever known and he abuses the hell out of those qualities she has. I hope he gets hit by a runaway train.

I can't really think of anything. Well, what does no consequences mean exactly?

For example, if I just grab some attractive woman's butt on the street, does no consequences mean she doesn't mind at all? Or does it mean she does mind and I just don't get punished for it? If she does mind still, I won't do it since that's rude.

Or as another example, say I just walk into a bank and into a vault and just start walking out with loads of cash. Does no consequences mean no one loses any money and no one suffers any cost? Like does the money I took magically reappear in the vault? If so, do I still get to keep like a cloned version of the money or do I lose it when it comes back to the vault? If anyone suffers from this, then I still don't want to do it since that'd hurt other people.

It's something I often found interesting since I've heard comedians joke and say things like, if there were no laws against murder, we'd all be murdering each other!

Yet I really don't think that's true! At least I hope not! 99.9% of the reasons I don't do horrible things to other people is not because it's illegal or against a rule but because it'd weigh heavily on my conscience. My conscience would punish me enough already even if there were no rule against it.

I think the reason laws are necessary to forbid killing innocent people is not because most of us would do it absent the law, but because a very, very small minority of psychopaths would if there were no law and repercussions for it. And it only takes a small minority psycho killers rampaging about with no law and order to completely throw everything into chaos.
