I simply don't. Let them build a immune system. Unless their toy landed somewhere extremely dirty then I would clean it

That is why kids have so many allergies. They don't get exposed to all of nature's elements. Remember the good old days when kids put everything in their mouths. Non of them developed all the sickness that there is in kids today. Send them out to eat bugs and dirt and they grow up healthy.

Unless it fell in the toilet or something similar, we don't disinfect our son's toys. The last time I disinfected a toy it was a ball that my son tossed down the basement stairs and it landed in the litter box.

That's the last thing you should do.
The more pathogens they are exposed to, the more robust their immune systems will become. This is why kids who grow up on farms never get sick.

I don't have kids, I do have toys though, they don't need to be disinfected, and most disinfectant products will ruin most toys (including the lysol wipes people are suggesting). Why are you trying to use disinfectant on them?
