Are the Greeks a different version of the Turks who have chosen Christianity?

There were Christian Greeks in Anatolia before there were Turks. And even genetically, both Greeks and most Turks belong to the Mediterranean race. Greeks and Turks have co-existed for centuries, so naturally there will be cultural crossovers. I wouldn't say their food and music are exactly the same, but they are very similar. I didn't say they were Mongolian just that they came from there. If you look at Turkish peoples from Turkey to Mongolia they become more and more Mongolian looking the closer you get to Mongolia. This is because Turk warriors on conquering new lands would take native wives and concubines and have multiple sons who would do the same to the point the the Turks began to look closer to those they conquered. It was the same with Mongolians in China.
