No. I have been there a few times and never heard or read that description.
Your reply has been most helpful so thank you. I guess I can’t be too surprised they don’t refer to their country that way. It must’ve been an old or even ancient term spoken. I heard it in a very historically accurate game, just saying. Peace be with you.
Probably still do but not as proud anymore.
How could they not be proud of their heritage? I know they’ve had a lot of economical stuff happen in the past ten years, but that shouldn’t affect national pride. That’s just my take.
