Which is worst, bats, or rats?

Rats are a curse. They are filthy, carry disease and cause damage. I'm glad we don't have any where I live.
We have mice and voles. Voles eat plants in our garden and the occasional mouse (rarely) gets in our house, but our cats take care of those.
Snakes in the area also help to keep the vermin population under control. I like snakes.

On the other hand, bats are cool. They don't bother anybody unless you have an open roof and they decided to roost in your attic. They eat nothing but flying bugs. The number of mosquitos a bat eats in one night is incredible. I enjoy watching them at dusk.

My wife and I even set up a bat house under the eve of our two story garage.

Stories of bats getting tangled in women's hair is a myth. And bats won't attack or bite humans unless someone tries to grab them. They are like any wild creature in that regard.

Rats. You have to catch those bastards to get rid of them or they'll eat you out of house and home. Bats only eat bugs so, that's a good thing and, all you have to do to get rid of them is leave a few windows open and they'll eventually find their own way out in a few minutes, or so. Rats wanna stay inside, bats wanna get outside.

Bats just flutter around munching moths. They can be irritating when they keep flying in your face but they're just curious or playing. Rats do a lot of damage and spread disease so they're much worse.

City rats spread diseases... so even if I like rats as rats, I think city rats are worse than bats.

Bats are actually helpful in that they eat thousands of insects a day. Rats are just dirty disease-carrying vermin.

I like both, rats can make sweet pets and are really smart, bats I just find adorable. Although if they are around the house then rats are worse as they can do quite a lot of damage.

They are both considered vermin, but I think (not sure) that rats do more damage to properties. Bats usually hang out (Pardon the pun) in trees, no?

Moreover, if you make a rat angry, it will jump upon the bed an bite you while you are sleeping.

When she would married at age 22, my great-grandmother live in an old house. There was a hole in the wall a rat used to get into the house. My great-grandmother, nailed it shut. Therefore, the rat couldn't get out making it angry at my great-grandmother. So that night the angry rat jumped on the bed and bit her on her leg. She grabbed a broom and chased that rat until she finally killed it.
