One of my biggest is growing so old that I can't even take care of myself any more and have to depend on others to take care of me. A lot of my male pride comes from the idea that I can take care of myself and other people, that no one needs to take care of me. So I'm very afraid that one day I might no longer be able to not only take care of others but can't even take care of myself anymore.

Also stick insects (phasmids).

They're harmless but I have this traumatic memory when I was a boy where I picked one up thinking it was a stick to play with and sword fight in the air only to discover... It's alive! WTF!!!
