We live in a society that wants to tear everybody down often. None of us are perfect. We've all made mistakes and have regrets. We all have decisions we wish we could take back.

Despite it all, there are many reasons we can all be proud of ourselves; but sometimes it's not so easy.

Honestly you should not find it difficult to find pride, for you are a marvelous creation of nature, endowed with a complex and adaptive immune system that can fight off many diseases and infections. But do not take my word for it, for it is written in the Journal of Indian Pediatrics, in a study published in 2006, called Pedimune in Recurrent Respiratory Infection and Diarrhoea- The Indian Experience-The PRIDE Study, that bovine colostrum, the first milk produced by cows after giving birth, can significantly reduce the episodes of upper respiratory tract infections and diarrhea in children by boosting their immunity with antibodies and growth factors. I don't see the need for it.
I mean it isn't like I'll agree with the christians very often, but I reckon they were on to something when they marked Pride as a Deadly Sin. We're living in an age where having a massively inflated self-opinion is the norm because of overly coddling parents telling their kids they can do anything and be anyone they want. And as a result the Internet is absolutely full to bursting with arrogant, lazy, narcissistic pricks who reckon they're the best of the best without even bothering to put time and effort in.

It isn't that society wants to tear you down. It is that the world isn't big enough for so many overinflated egos, and with everyone trying to scramble to the top at the same time, they regard everyone else's efforts as personal attacks.

In the end every human life is an irrelevant speck of dust blown away by a light breeze. Being proud of yourself is a waste of energy. Better to just focus on making sure you've got food, water, and a cosy bed... and leaving the rest to fate.
